.... having lots of oldies now, I am realizing it would have behooved me to get everyone liking chicken baby food/soup before they are sick. I have 2 ferrets that I've gotten started on chicken baby food as a treat each evening. They eat it with gusto, and when they periodically go off of kibble, it helps that they already like baby food.

Just wanted to share.

Been there, done that, got baby food on the t-shirt. I have a group of 4 all about the same age, 2 oldies that are doing pretty well (knock fake wood), one a year older than the group of 4 and one baby (which I need to get new pics of since he is growing like a weed!)

I highly recommend making your own soup. It's LOTS cheaper than baby food.
It is very simple, too. Just put a whole chicken in a crock-pot for the day.
That night, run it through a grinder if you have one, bones and all.
Then blend it if your guys like it smooth like mine do.

I freeze it in ice-cube trays, which makes it simple to take out and thaw what you need.

Whole chickens can be had for as little as $.50/lb on sale. That's a LOT cheaper than Gerbers!
Then you can doctor it up as you want with extras, or not.

Oh no doubt! But sometimes in a panic, you just wanna grab the baby food.

Definitely either one works.
