Well I am really very curious about owning a ferret, however i do not know much about them. I NEED to learn as much as I can. I am not looking to actually own a ferret just yet, maybe a year or two from now.

Are there any really informative books that you could recommend?
Also are there any really good websites with detailed information?

The very first book/resource I'd suggest is "Ferrets for Dummies".... it is truly a great reference, with lots of good introductory information.

Another option is to come by the shelter on Saturdays between 10 AM and 3 PM.
You can talk to the other volunteers there, and get to know some of the ferrets yourself!
