Can you tell me the mixs for red color (like in french musketer and spartan warrior)??

A mix i use with Valejo colors (both normal range and fantasy colors )

Flat Red , Gory red, Scar red , vermillion, Italian Red, Burnt Cadmium red, Red Orange

This mybase mix and i turnit to lighter and darker tunning accordingly the vermillion, Italian red and Burnt cadmium red.


For lighting up i use , vermillion, red orange , Andrea's Golden Ochre, and Golden Yellow


For shadows i use italian red, prussian blue , burnt cadmium red and black red .


I dont use standard proportions but by instict and eye i add what i need to get the deserved tone . red is by far my favorite color, and thats why i paint so many figures with red cloaks !!!!!!!

Hi Damian.
If I remember well,I used Cavalry Brown 982 as base colour,Highlights adding Vermillion 909 and shading with dark blue or dark green,I don't remember exactly...
