BB.net has been decidedly quiet of late.

What are the current goings on of us all?

It's now 20 days before I leave for my first abroad trip to the States. Eek!

Quiet but not dead

May 26 2007, 4:06 PM

The hunt for a new drummer has truly shaken up the BB clan and, as a result, the news section has been quiet. The clock is ticking and we'll hopefully have some news to report very soon.

Hope the packing goes well.

Congrats on passing your test btw.

All the best,

Andy

Yes! Bag is about 30lbs. I come 13 pounds under weight.

As for my passing the test... I think it was luck. And I only had to do a 45 degree angle park (over here you get one of three, 45 angle park, reverse paralle park and three point turn) The instructor got in the back seat and in my nervousness I asked if he had life insurance as a part of his job or something. Silly me. Of course he would... Anyway, getting in the car with me a still a bit of a white knuckle ride! I'm working on it

Good luck with the quest to find a new skin basher. It'll be good to have a complete family once again.
Have you tried looking in the cupboard under the sink? That'd be the last place I'd look for a drummer, and you know what they say "Always in the last place you'd look."

Aussie hugs,

Laura

What a funny picture! This guy looks like he could play drums! He would fit perfect into the band...but, we'll see who's going to be the new snare-hitter of BB.

Cheers,
some Austrian dude...

P.S.: Michl du wappla!

An Axel to Grind

May 29 2007, 1:07 PM

We're pleased to report that our band has gone from being Anglo-Irish-Swedish to being Anglo-Irish-Austrian-Swedish.

Andy=Anglo Irish
Pete=Swedish
Axel=Our new drummer boy is Austrian

And, yes, the boy can play. And we're VERY excited to have him on board. Axel, for that's our new drummer's name, will make his BB gigging debut on 9 June at Edge FM in Toronto, Ontario in the heart of Canada. He's a lovely lad - looks a bit like a young Mark Ruffalo (fab indie film actor) and can bash them drums with Teutonic might. Welcome aboard Axel.

Sounds of Summer...

June 7 2007, 11:36 PM

Last night in my horridly tipsy state I rang one of my friends in Lancashire and the topic of weather came up... "It's so sunny and warm," he was saying. And then I realised the "hot" weather he was talking about was around 25 degress. I had a bit of a laugh to myself, in Australia 25 is a lovely day, but not quite hot enough to rush to the pools...

Will check the papers today on Tonto's weather.
