Nothing is being done about sky high oil prices. We are being held to ransome by the 11 member organization of Petroleum Rxporting Countries and I will bet even Greenspan never thought they could close ranks enough to limit supplies. Since 1998 OPEC has taken millions of bbl. a day of world production off line. So, oil prices go up, heating oil goes up. Gas at the pumps is up to $1.75 a gal. in parts of the U.S. OPEC will likely up production a little, but not enough so last summers 90 cent a gal. gas prices by this summer will be only memory. There is talk about gas out days, trucker strikes and other awareness campaigns. Truckers complain of 40 - 80 percent increases in fuel costs yet do we see state taxes going down, where is congress in all this? Seems like no one cares to speak out loud. Are there any election issues out there? Maybe it is time for a change in the white house.
Al Gore has been defending the 1993 gas tax. As the price per gallon of gas here hits $2.00 a gallon, criticism aimed at Klinton and Gore keeps going up too. Did you know that we are the single biggest customer of Iraqi oil as well. Something must be done. Write congress, e-mail Klinton and Gore, demand action. We are indeed being held to ransome by this oil cartel. Some members of this 11 nation cartel are suppose to be our friends. We rush over and save their ass and this is the thanks we get.
Camper, you sent me an e-mail with some information on three rifles you wished to sell. I believe one was a 410 shotgun. I know a couple of them are old but I am interested and could meet you in Montana at the same place we first met if you are still interested in selling. I know you do not include your e-mail when you write in to the forum so if you see this message would you click on my e-mail and let me know, my wife lost my e-mail book of addresses.
