"China silently hoped for a Gore victory in the U.S presidential election on Thursday, fearing a Republican administration would boost ties with Taiwan and back missle defense systems, analysts said." So, China, a nation which butchers its people, has no respect for human rights, or freedoms, would prefer Gore. Go figure.
It could be that they have millions of dollars riding on his campaign, that they hope that the easy funneling of U.S. military secrets will continue, or that they plan an assault on Taiwan in the not too distant future and long for a president who will look the other way.
Yan Xueton, executive director of the Institute of International Studies at Beijing's Tsinghua University says that China does not worry about a dramatic change in U.S. policy, "But if Gore wins there will be more certainty, if Bush wins there will be less certainty. In that way, Gore is China's favorite."
How is Gore viewed in communist China?- "...as a level-headed and experienced statesman," Americans have obviously fallen for the trap laid for them, and in these last days of the election campaign, we may in fact be living in the last days of America. This is what I believe. This is what I know.
Vote Gore! Vote communist! Afterall, its about time; they've been working on you for years America, and you remain their last hold out.
