| Al Gore's close association with the Communist Chinese and the loss of sensitive military information under his trust, sets up an interesting theory regarding his real goals during the election campaign.
Even if we overlook the fact that China would have preferred Gore as president, that Putin favors Gore's policy on a missle defence plan for America (ie. Not having one), how can we overlook the negative impact of the post-election scandal?
I believe, given his strong associations with communist China, that Gore is nothing more than a pawn and that those who voted for him and supported him, (even when there was no doubt that further recounts wouldn't change anything), were nothing more than useful dupes. The recounts had more to do with creating instability on the international stage and making the United States seem weak to its enemies. And, believe me, you have enemies.
What follows in an exerpt from a Washington Post article which outlines the affects of the ad nauseum calls for recounts:
..Putin's decision to go ahead with the politically sensitive Cuba trip now as uncertainty lingers over the presidential election here is an unintended signal of its own.
Russia and other nations are factoring into their policies the effect of the contested presidential election and a more evenly divided Congress. Inevitably, they see room to pursue their interests with more assertiveness. Some nations are openly intensifying their challenge to U.S. power during the limbo.
Iraq has shut off oil exports to back up its campaign against economic sanctions. Iran has stepped up support for Islamic guerrilla operations against Israel. Libya has effectively neutralized the international travel ban that Washington has sought to keep in place.

They say hind sight is 20-20 and that is so true. This Florida scandal was just a ploy to keep the peoples attention away from Washington. With everyone, including the Media's eyes, on Florida, this gave the Clinton administration a free reign to ratify issues with the U.N. that they knew the people wouldn't stand for. Thanks to this distraction the U.N. now controls more than 7/8 of the worlds land mass. |
