The following is an excerpt taken from the U.N. Web Site. As you can see, they are using free money as a tool to gain control of the world. You can also see that the whole theme is to convert the entire world into the socialist way of thinking. They no longer allow a government to be in control of itself. In fact, they are imposing their will on every country in the world, including the United States. Can you not see that you no longer have the freedom to think for yourself? Can you not see that the laws only apply to the working people, and our Government leaders are able to operate above and outside of the law? Can you not see that the Government is now trying to gain control of the last obsticle that stands between a freedom and a Socialist Government,(THE CHURCHES). Once the Government gets our churches to depend on Government hand outs they will have control of them, just as they have control over our schools and work places. Then they will be able to start dumming them down as well. Anyone that has ever been in the armed forces knows that the best way to conquer your enemy is to divide. Can you not see this happening daily in our country?
UN commission on development to take up issue of "social protection"
12 February – Social protection is crucial to promoting economic and social development because it facilitates structural changes in the economy and is "cheaper for society in the long run," a senior UN official said today in New York, on the eve of the thirty ninth session of the Commission for Social Development.
Sergei Zelenev, the Senior Economic Affairs Officer of the UN's Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), is the main author of a report by Secretary-General Kofi Annan on "Enhancing Social Protection and Reducing Vulnerability in a Globalizing World" - the main theme of the 13-23 February session of the Commission.
Speaking at a press conference at UN Headquarters, Mr. Zelenev said that although social protection was often seen as a burden to the State, it was in fact a good investment. "Social spending is a prerequisite for continuous human development," he said, pointing out that such protection permitted societies to obtain social solidarity and enhanced the foundation for development. The Secretary-General's report further defines the issue, reviews the effect of globalization on social protection and provides recommendations relating to national and international ways of promoting human development, he added.
John Langmore, the Director of DESA's Division for Social Policy and Development, told the press that the idea of social protection was an "umbrella" concept that embraced programmes in the fields of social security, nutrition and health among other things. He noted that social protection was the biggest item of national expenditure in transition economies and developed countries, with many European countries debating whether to reduce their social security systems. Meanwhile several East Asian countries were in the process of building up their social protection systems after the financial crisis, Mr. Langmore said.
Since the convening of the World Summit for Social Development in Copenhagen in 1995, the Commission has been the key UN body to follow up and implement the Copenhagen Declaration and Programme of Action. Meeting annually since 1995, the Commission has taken up one key concern of the Summit each year.
As it begins the consideration of its main theme tomorrow, the Commission will hold an expert panel discussion on the issue. The Commission will also explore the sub-theme of "The Role of Volunteerism in the Promotion of Social Development" during its 10-day session.
Their plan is working and it is right on target, more to come. The churches are already controlled and will agree to further control as it comes down the pipe. Some have already sold out completely.
Can anyone name one church that will criticize government or take them to task on any issue? Lets start with abortion. The church has made a deal with government and it is convenient for government to honor that deal,.... for now at least. All you hear in the church is lets pray for government, yada yada,.........
