Today the high was 107, I spent most of the day working outside.

I came home and fell asleep at 5. The heat zaps your strength when it's THAT hot.

But, swamp coolers are amazing inventions and they make the world bearable again. :)

They work OK but air conditioning is much nicer.
They are much easier on the wallet when the APS bill arrives, though.

Yeah, 107 is definitely hot, but I betcha it's a really lovely 75 to 80 in the early morning and evening. That's great weather for biking, sitting on the front porch, or laying in a hot tub and gazing at the stars.

Sigh ... I love Arizona!

Swamp coolers are great in ARizona. There's really no need for a full air conditioner until Monsoon season. The biggest problem I have with the swamp cooler is that there is no choice.. yuo either have it going and the house can get kinda chilly.. or.. you don't have it going and it gets HOT.

And steve.. sorry charlie.. no it stays in the 90s until about 9 pm at night. It is in the 70s in the morning though and doesn't hit the 90s until about 11 am. So the mornings are great. Evenings, not so much.
