There is the Central Arizona Cactus & Succulent Society in your neck of the woods too. http://www.centralarizonacactus.org/

Looks like a wonderful area. I just love those blooms on the cacti. I found some prickly pear starting to bloom when I was in NE, but wasn't able to snap any photos.

That's a shame. They only bloom for such a short time.
