My first time in New Mexico was in September 1994, while I was driving across America. I remember staying at a really neat hostel in Truth or Consequences that had a natural hot spring and tipi right on the banks of the Rio Grande. It was really nice!

Anyway, my first introduction to the Land of Enchantment was in Truth or Consequences, and I dare say something inside my soul was touched. Perhaps it was the beautiful weather, the drabby brown yet charming desert landscape, or maybe it was the friendly and laid-back people I encountered, but I know for sure that New Mexico became a "part of me"!

Does anyone know if that hostel is still in operation?
