Every so often, I get "New Mexico cravings" for lack of a better word, where my heart and mind dwells on the beauty and splendor of the Land of Enchantment.

This evening on the road I kept spotting New Mexico license plates, which was an interesting coincedence. Then, my ultimate driving-thru-New Mexico band (Moody Blues) came on with "Tuesday Afternoon" and "Evening" from their Days of Future Passed album. There's just something about those songs on that album that remind me of my first wondrous visit to southern New Mexico, where I spent a week in Truth or Consequences. I'll never forget kayaking the Rio Grande amidst the Jordana del Muerto range to the east. :p)

Sigh! I've got to get down there:

Those Mexican hole-in-wall restaurants where the workers barely speak English but the food is amazing!

Those New Mexico sunsets that light up the sky with oranges, pinks and purples. Oh the photographic opportunities there!

Those wide open spaces with pinions, hills, mesas & buttes that enchant the soul to explore, hike, camp, cry, pray or whatever!

Heck, I even bought http://www.newmexicoguy.com this evening ... I just had to. You never know. (The URL forwards to my New Mexico pictorial.)

Oh and lastly, I still want to meet up with all of my dear Republican friends to CELEBRATE New Mexico giving its five electoral votes to President Bush. Thank you New Mexico!

Enough said. Thanks for letting me rant. I need to pray about this.

-Steve
