Spent the weekend in Republic Washington first. My favorite town when I spent time on the 'festival circuit' so decided to go back every year I can. Weather was awful - very cold and drizzly, but at least we didn't get the snow which was on the pass just east of town that I had to drive through. In JUNE! It's a very small town, although it's grown by 100 people since the local mine has picked up recently. Population is about 1050 now, and I think every one of them comes to the festival, plus everyone from the surrounding county. We walked up and down the main street, and hit a couple of the local 'hot spots' Saturday night. Most of the buildings have plates on the doors telling how old the building is, and it's history. Many are still standing from 1900-1910. It was a lot fun, and I enjoyed being back in the tye-dye tent with my brother. It was nice to see some of the other vendors and catch up with them.
Sunday afternoon I went through the time-warp and headed down to Vegas. It was a friend's birthday and she had never been. Grape, Turtle, and Diana met us. Didn't get to spend as much time with them as I would have liked, and I lost too much money, but seeing The Beatles LOVE - Cirque du Soleil was amazing.
Blurry pic, but ... Grape, Diana, BB1
