at 7pm tonight it was still 100 degrees. The only saving grace was a small breeze, and we were on the east side of the house so we had some shade. Note to self - do NOT schedule a cookout in that kind of weather. Although I was already a hot mess (and not in a good way) manning the grill didn't add too much to it. Plus every time I sprayed water on the coals I sprayed myself.
I am SO glad the reunion stuff is over. I loved seeing so many old friends, but being on the committee was a lot of work.
Put everything perishable away, the rest can wait until I get home tomorrow. Off to bed. I hope everyone had a great 4th!
