something on FB reminded me of this story....

a few months ago, maynerd Zoey and I were at the DMV to have my licence renewed.
we stood in line to even get to the desk where you get a number, depending on what you tell the guy at that desk, i suppose.
the guy in front of us was really funny and he and i passed the time in the long line with witty banter.

it was his turn to go up to the guy at desk who was very sarsatic and crypic as i could hear(who'd want that job!). I heard the guy that was in front of us, say "well wait until the next girl comes up here. she's trouble."
that was not the way i wanted my interactions going with the DMV.I do NOT mess with those folk. they are powerful people and they KNOW it.

When i got up there I handed him the completed form and also the handicapp sticker renewal paper.

In reference to the handicapp papers, I swear to all that is mighty he said to me, "did your dog fill this out?"
I said "heck no, i don't trust her with a pen"
he looked at me so strange.
and he repeated himself.
again i hear him say" your dog, did he fill this out?"

and i looked at him thinking, how long are we gonna play this game?

maynerd with one ear managed to understand him and said "GJ he said Doc, you know, your doctor!"
I got the giggles a little bit.
I told him I thot he'd said dog. and he said "I don't care how you refere to your doctor. did he fill this out?"

opps obviously NOT.
