I can't remember where.. or why I remember this, but...

I seem to recall women in elder-care facilities having dolls ... and it being very comforting for them. Maybe it takes them back to a place where they felt needed and caring.

There may be other women where she is, that have dolls and she sees how good it makes them feel?
