Before Jen settled on education she was thinking hospitality management and took a wedding planning course as part of her studies. So she has had several ideas in the back of her mind for a few years.
It will be July 30th, 2011. Place to be determined, but they will be married by the water. There are lots of beachfront venues in O.C. that cater to weddings and receptions. My nephew is a photographer, so that's taken care of. Colors will be black, white, and maroon. And the honeymoon in Atlantis. Honor attendants have been decided. Two girls who thought they would be in the wedding are already hinting about it and Jen's stressing a little about telling them they won't be. I told her to get it out of the way now and stop stressing about it. That was one of my regrets, that I bent to friend pressure about my bridesmaids.
Jen needs to get the uncomfortable conversations out of the way now so that some time goes by before the wedding. She just needs to explain that because of constraints she can't have everyone in the wedding party that she would like. Constraints can include a bunch of things, time, space, cost, etc. She does not have to give a lot of details!!
It always amazes me that so many people think they need to know and have the right to know, all the details of someone elses life and decisions. Kinda like me wanting to know about the wedding!!!! LOL!!!
