Cool, you're conversion method seems more accurate. I do believe the conversion is good for 1600 to mile but NOT from 1500 to 1600. You run a race differently based on the distance to the finish. You do your kick at the right moment based on the distance. To say a 1500 meter time can be converted to 1600 is foolish because it's a different race altogether.
