Yes, but as I stated below in another thread... Running the 1500 is a different mind set. You sprint the last 100-200 meters, starting around the 1300 mark...so how can anyone say without a doubt that a kid who runs a *** 1500 would also run an equivalent *** 1600? The 1600 is longer obviously and a different strategy and approach is used. I say, run both and then compare and see if the math works right every time.
