if you guys are only in track to train for xc or vice-versa i think that's ridiculous. sure, both sports help to improve runners in the other... but if you are a runner you should be competitive in both sports. Saying that you only do xc just to train in track sounds like a wasted spot on a team to me if you don't take it seriously...
