I RUN BOTH, AND I WOULD AGREE XC TRAINS FOR TRACK, BUT ITS TRUE EITHER WAY BOTH PREPARE YOU FOR THE OTHER;THEY WORK HAND IN HAND. USUALLY WHICHEVER YOUR BETTER AT YOU TEND TO LIKE MORE AND "USE" THE OTHER ONE, BUT EITHER WAY THEY BOTH HELP FOR EACHOTHER AND NEITHER IS JUST "TRAINING", MOREOVER A SPORT IN ITS OWN
