The reason we have to charge for parents is because in many cases they are coaches. We do not if a parent was just a ride or if the parent coaches their child inthe off-season or for the club season. People children are safe with us and there is someone at the clinic until the last person is picked up, so if someone is there just for a ride they could drop them off and pick up at the end of the clinic.
The reason for the late charge is two fold. 1 - We try to discourage people signing up late, so that we can account for enough workers-to-campers ratio. 2 - When we do get a large walk-up crowd it takes a lot of time and starts the clinic late &/or we also have to rush around and hire some additional help.
