My apologies to any who felt left in the dark about the Mission Hills Showdown at Sundown in 2012.
After last year, the city was asking for a much higher percentage of the income from the meet (the nature of the community 5K aspect). Coach Sharp made a decision at that time not to do the event again, and as I have been taking over I feel that such a large event should not be a priority for myself and our program at this time.
This does NOT mean the event is gone forever, or that it wont be reborn to new glory in the near future!
Again, I apologize for the lack of clarity up to this point and I wish everyone the best of luck with their season!
