Ex CCHS runner sets all-time 6K record at SDSU!

by Graham Kent

Just thought some of the readers might appreciate that Christine Kent, who ran for Cathedral Catholic High School from '08-'12,
just set the SDSU all-time fastest 6K time clocking in at 20:47 at the Riverside meet this past weekend. Christine graduated
Magna Cum Laude from South Carolina with a BSN in nursing '16 and really had her running career take off after a year long hiatus
due to an injury. After setting the 5th fastest 5K time in Gamecock history at 16:59, she decided to run for her hometown college, SDSU,
during her 5th year as a graduate student. She won her first meet as an Aztec a few weeks back and recently blew away her 6K PR by nearly
90 sec. A lesson to all: never give up and work hard! Thanks to coaches at CCHS for giving her the foundation to make this all
possible. Onto the Aztec Invitational this Friday! Proud Parents Graham and Stephanie Kent Go Aztecs!!!

There are only two true sports: Track and Cross Country.
All the rest are just games.
