A fellow airgunner here in SOCAL had an open invitation to SOCAL airgunners for a weekend hunt/camp get together. I could not attend cause of previous plans. Well, Saturday, my plans were cancelled for SUNDAY. YEEEEEEHAW!!! i can go shooting. Unfortunately, it was too late to catch up with James and crew as they left Friday afternoon. I was not able to head out until SUNDAY. Well, using James' direction/location, i decided to find my own spot. I called up my buddy Darryl and he was game. We met up Sunday mourning and headed north. The area was so beautiful and it reminded me of Northern Calif., or what i think Colorado would look like. Tall pine trees everywhere. I didn't think i was in Cali. anymore.

Here are a few scenery pics:

After driving around for a while to find a shooting spot, we found one, and decided to shoot a little. I started by shooting my Rapid 25 and my Dragon Slayer to check for ZERO. The rapid was close to POI but i had taken the DS apart again and made some more mods. So i had to totally resight the DS in.
Here is a short video of a 5 shot Rapid group with Kodiaks and a 3 shot group with Mark Whyte 175 gr 454 bullets. Turn up your computer volume and enjoy the pellets whizzing by:

As usual with us, when we were done blasting and sighting in, we were ready to hunt some ground squirrels and rabbits. Now, i think because of the altitude, we did not run into or across any Jackrabbits but, we saw a few cottontails. But it ain't cottontails season just yet so, we let em go with a warning  . So we stuck with ground squirrels exclusively.
Here is a "QUICK" video clip of 1 that i spotted at 54 yrds. He was watching Darryl and i set up on another ground squirell and i never even saw him until:

Here is a pic of another ground squirrel that i shot in another area. His distance was approximately 50 yrds. He should have known better:

Here is also a pic of 1 of Darryls 6 or so ground squirrels for the day. Don't know the distance but knowing Darryl, it was "FAR" away. 1 shot 1 kill:

Here is another quick video clip of a ground squirrel that i spotted as he was trying to run away from me and head towards his hole. I barely spotted him out of the corner of my eye as he was running away. I shot him in the head but he manage to keep running and did not know he was dead:

Here is 1 last video of a nice quick double shot that Darryl made on a GS at 57 yrds away. He missed the 1st shot but sent the 2nd shot downrange pretty quick. In the head and the squirrel was dead. Sorry for you guys that own anything other than a rapid but, THESE GUNS ARE AWESOME. When they SHOOT, They Shoot. HE HE, just joking, Rapids aint the only guns that can shoot. Anyway, enough of my sarcasm, here is the short video. Watch as the GS ducks under the first shot then tries to figure out what was buzzing over him:

I managaed to take 3 GS' and i think Darryl actually got like 7. As usual, we enjoyed our day out in the field. Mother nature made us the outdoors to enjoy and she did a beautiful job. The scenery in CALI is some of the best bar none. With gas prices out here being $4.69 a gallon, it is getting harder to enjoy mother nature but, we somehow manage to come together and go shooting (splitting the gas down the middle helps...he he he). But it is well worth it. Darryl and i always say, "......even if we don't shoot anything, it's just great being out here". And that is so true. Just take a look at these pics of LAKE PYRAMID that was on our way back home as the sun was starting to set:
