Last weekend was an absolute blast -
5 of us manly men who like to explore the woods took off from Los Angeles and headed north for an hour or so
and ended up at about 7500ft up a mountain in the Los Padres National Forest -
The view from our camp spot was almost comparable to that of the Grand Canyon -
See pics below
A fellow airgun enthusiast even drove 5hrs from Sacramento to join in the fun - armed with his trusty R9 and
a .22 Savage (just in case!)
Anyway long story short - we camped, drank beer, shot our air rifles and did a little Jack Rabbit hunting !
Good times, no cell phones, computers or wives
I proved that my RWS 54 could take out a beer can at 100yds - much to the amazement of my fellow campmates (twice with 3 shots)
I love that gun !
More pics to follow - once my fellow campers email them to me....
The Jack I shot was a 50 yd running shot with my Ruger 1022 - typical - the one time I hunted with my rimfire and out came the JackRabbits...
ah well next time I'll leave the powder buners at home and stick with the springer...
regards to all and safe shooting.
