Response to I don't miss much when others start to streach their toys out .
Ever see the investment advertisement on TV where the guy is questioning his finicaial adviser because he said he shold buy a vineyard when he retires?
Well at least here in Oregon, we now have a glut on vineyards and not enough wineries to process or buy the grapes.
Last year there were no buyer, the vineyard we sold to has been grouwing their own grapes and last year they grew enough for their own use.
So probably buy some sheep and cattle to keep the tax deferment, let them graze between the grape rows. I feel sorry for those trying to make a buck at it, here it has always paid for the labor and the taxes and given a farm deferal for the property tax, but no profit.
I have always been a bullet caster myself, or at least I started at the age of 22 40 years ago, a few years ago I sold all my equipment when I sold my place on the mountain, but lately I have gotten back into it, I just hate to buy bullets.
