as powerful as it really is.. easy to cock,and pushing a bit over 800fps with standard little 177 pellets; the amazing thing is we toasted floating leaves travelling three or four miles per hour; two bottles attacked us and were sunk; the cans sixty yards away sunken in Louisiana clay we tore up as we warmed up;
then the really long range for offhand bayou shooting : stationary targets of plastic containers at a bit more than a hundred yards would reply with a whopp!! a second after the shots..
it does not take much to make an airgunner happy.. I would have liked to shoot like that all day, not sure the old arm would take it, but the mind was willing.
Jerod was using a magic spring in his gun ... his cajun self tune was most impressive.. in the high 700's a 25 moves things when you hit them, and the holes are easy to see through the scopes.
The competition was feirce when the targets whittled down to one streaming along in the fastest of the current, bobbing and spinning a slow pirrhouette : a hit off center just rocked it to my amazement and disappointment.. Jerod is in a hurry to bust it while I reload... the impossible happens.. another chance for old dan..
