This was my first rat hunt of the year. Questkillar and I hunted in one of his pig barns. He was using his quest (177) and i was using my disco (177) on the hunt.It was very fun and we saw lots of rats. In all we got 8 big rats, 2 sparrows, and a starling. the closest shots were only 2 or 3 inchs from the muzzle.( we would see one stick it's nose out of the hole then we would stick the muzzle practiculy on top of the rat and shoot lol) the farthest shots were about 10 yards. I was trying to take mostly body shots, as i am getting ready for squirrel season and wanted to see what body hit would drop the rat stone dead without it kicking around. I found out that a shot high thru both shoulder blades will drop the rat dead. also a shot low in the crease of the front leg will drop them.We had a great time and hopefully get many more rat hunts. Taylor

Great job on those nasty disease carrying rats.

keep killing them all. I hate rats with a passion. The thing I liked most of when I used to have a python collection was feeding time.
