Hi I'm new here. And I would like an inexpensive airgun.Especially for sqirrel and rabbits. I know .22 would be better than .177. Can anybody make a suggestion?

What type powerplant? Spring, pump-up, CO2.....

....or PCP.

For a pump-up gun, you'd be hard to beat a Benjamin/Sheridan.

For inexpensive CO2, then a Crosman 2240/2250/2260 or the QB-78/TF-78.

For a springer, you've got a wide range of prices....inexpensive Chinese to medium-priced Gamo's to $1000 Theoben's.....sort of name your price range.

Give us an idea of what kind of gun you want and we'll gladly narrow it down for you.

Can I get one for under 100 dollars? Somewhere in the range of 100 to 150. I have been looking at a crosman c02 air rifle.

My crosman 2200's have scored multiple kills each , one is basically stock , the other seems to get tuned every other week, Or you may find a decnt deal a 2260 or similar , rabbits are prety fragile as far as wildgame goes. A .177 would also do the trick , take a look around, see whats available then come back with more questions.

If you can get one, they're great. Only five pumps with cros points or rws super H points. Very easy to take down, If you miss they freeze for a second shot. A step up is a benjamen/sheriden.

Well my daisy 880 will take a squirrell out easy at 35 yards with a powerline 3-9x32 scope so with a headshot theres no doubt it can take out a rabbit

Rabbits are easy.....I like 450+ fps for them.....

July 27 2008, 10:31 PM

....and almost all the guns like the 2250 on up will do that or better. You can kill them with a lot less, but it gives you a slight margin for error.
