Found the time to shoot a variety of Robert Vogel's .458 ammunition the other day. To say that we are fortunate in the airgun community to have someone who takes the time to manufacture quality large bore airgun ammo is an understatement. Mr. Vogel's ammunition for those of you who haven't tried it is outstanding and brings the best out of your DAQ or large bore airguns.

I have always been very partial to Mr. Vogel's 425grn hollow point as they proved very accurate and effective during last years deer season out of my .458 DAQ. The 425's helped my son and I harvest three deer with complete penetration.

My results on my bone stock .458 DAQ are as follows.

425grn - 723fps
356grn - 744fps
158grn - 976fps
125grn - 1028fps
248grn - 855fps
280grn - 814fps

All bullets proved extremely accurate, with surprising results from the little 125grn-hp, and 158grn collar button bullets. For the larger weight bullets, in my particular gun, the 248grn-hp, and the 425grn-hp bullets were the most accurate. I will try to post some pictures soon.

I think we should give Randy the bums rush, and see how fast we can empty his stock.
