I started with 3000 psi fill & 54 grain solid

944, 928, 919, 906, 894, 885, 865, 818, 829, 812 --10 shot with 1900 psi left

average of 880 fps and foot pounds of 93 rounded up

2nd fill test

3500 psi fill and 54 grain solid

986, 984, 970, 959, 957, 922, 910, 918, 891, 889, 869, 858, 831, 817, 810, 789, 762 -- 17 shots with 1800 psi left

average of 890 fps and 95 foot pounds.

3rd test

3500 psi fill with the 62 grain long hollow points

919, 912, 908, 901, 894, 864, 851, 859, 830, 807 -- 10 shots

average of 875 fps and 105 foot pounds.

some of the numbers jump and I think its due to the bullets these are the little .257 diameter and I ran them in the lyman .251 die and they come out like a paper patch bullet and have a much tighter fit, but with soft lead they seat fine.

I did run a half dozen of eunjins 42 grain pellets at 2500 psi and they were over 1100 fps. I know at 3500 psi the skirts blow off. and this is why I started to play with casting my own.

Photo's of both bullets the 54 grain solid and 62 grain hp

I never really offered the solids due to the poor quality after sizing them. I did send some samples out last year but the feedback was less then steller. Mostly on fit they are a tad to long to fit in a magazine unless you have a metal mag like the career has or single shot. So I just could not with good concience offer these to the public. after sizeing them they look like a paper patch bullet with jaged drag on the back. but if you can shoot them they will pack a whallop. Unsized neither bullet will fit but after sizing the soft lead will snug in just fine in the DAQ.
