I purchased a dragon slayer as an impulse buy. It hasn't arrived yet. I am wondering if the gun would be a more usable varmint/hunting rifle if it was a 308 caliber. Besides the barrel what would I need to do this swap. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks

down to fit into the receiver and the barrel band/airtube band if its thicker than the OEM 50 cal barrel which i doubt or, a machinist is gonna have to install sleeves for the breech end of the barrel to fit into the receiver and for the smaller diameter barrel to fit into the barrel band. The OEM barrel is a fat one.
Also, the sleeve on the breech end of the barrel is gonna have to be ported to accept the brass transfer port piece that connects to the barrel and the airtube. So its not that easy of a swap unless you are a machinist.
And obviously, if you want more power than what the stock DS50 makes then of course you are gonna have to have a tune done to the gun which i am pretty sure you are gonna want done.
Mike are you in San Diego? Do you meet with the airguners at the police range? If Yes I can bring you a Dragon Slayer converted to .308 to see and decide if you still want to convert yours. NN
