we looked over the property to find a dryer place to hold it (LASSO) and finally figered it out.
also did some testing on my self modified DAQ LA. i shot Seths 244grn r.e.a.l. bullets at 1000fps making 541fpe, and a 526 grn bullet at 763 making 680fpe.
my 370 grn hp were making 610 fpe and all this was at 3500 psi.

Thats got some Zipppp.

November 4 2009, 5:33 PM

Need to check the 405 and 415 later but 1000 Fps is sweeeeet.
The high Fpe. of the 526 grain is impressive as well.
There should be a sweet spot on bullet selection between the 370 and 526.
What was the speed on the 370?
Edit: should be 861 or so.

Always a good day when your spending time in the field with a guy like Bill D.

any easy mods

November 6 2009, 12:39 PM

Eric I have a question about your self modded rifle. Is there any easy mods we can do as hammer and spring changes or did you have to go to work on the valve which seems pretty technical. thanks

Eric, The double hammer spring, how is it setup? Two inside springs or 1 inside & 1 outside? Give some details on how it is. Bob

thanks

thanks for the info. The double spring sounds doable for the novice but going into the tranfer port sounds technical.Did you just open it up some and shoot then open some more?
