Over the last couple years Brian has become one of my regular hunting partners, and I think he is the best airgun/coyote hunter in the country. I've been busy with work, family, vacations, and fishing this summer but had a few minutes last night and gave him a call. No answer, but this morning I had a text. He's at the university medical center with severe injuries (at least his thumbs are working and he can text) after a motorcycle accident. Some drunk plowed into the back of him and a friend and broke them up pretty badly. I'm leaving town on business tomorrow but going to try to stop by and see him on my way to the airport tomorrow. It sounds like he'll be whole again, but might take some time.
Jim, If you can please give Brian my best wishes for a speedy recovery. He seems to be a real good guy. He made me the best looking stock I ever had on an air gun. Bob
He's actually doing amazingly well considering.
He said the police told him the guy was probably doing 120 mph when he hit Brian's bike. It was a "T" intersection and Brian and the girl were tossed over 200 feet, and the guys car went past them into a bunch of trees. They had to airlift all 3 of them to Indianapolis. The guy blew a 2.84 blood alcohol level, the police weren't sure he was conscious when he hit Brian, he never touched his brakes. He had already side-swiped a car back up the road, and had another DUI pending from earlier this year. Fortunately, he still has insurance.
Brian has 49 staples in his scalp. The girl got a broken collar bone and ankle. He thinks he'll be released later this week.
