Battle at the Penn/Mopping the pool deck

First thing I remember is that I was at some sort of penetentiary. I was with my unit, and everyone was passing out rifles and ammo, but I had a 9mm pistol on me. I remember someone remarking that I was being a slcker by not getting a rifle, so I went ahead and got one, but I preferred to fight with the 9mm.

At some point, the enemy (I have no idea who we were fighting) started coming out of the doors of the penn, and we returned fire for a while. I think we suffered zero casualties, and at some point, two Marines came out and started blowing what looked like big clarinets, but they sounded like trumpets, and it signaled that the battle was over and that we had won (hehe). We proceeded into the compound with our guns and rifles drawn and as we went in, at some point we were confronted by a guard who told us in very stern terms that we were not permitted to have our 9mm's unholstered while inside the complex, and that rifles must be slung. The whole unit was like "aw man...", but we did what the gate guard told us to do before going out into the yard where the enemy was supposed to have been waiting.

I was the first one into the yard, and there was some sort of fulcrum in the center with some kind of propellor spinning slowly. The propellor had branches and leaves, and on one spot, an enormous black man had hung himself and was just being carried around the yard, hanging by his neck. However, we was still alive. His eyes were still open and looking around. He was just waiting to die.

My first reaction was to let him die, since that's clearly what he wanted, and I was afraid of what he might do if I freed him. But after a moment, I realized i couldn't do that, so I started trying to free him. He wasn't tied by a noose - he was being held to the thing by two master-lock looking things that werent' locked, but they were jammed together. I was able to twist one free, but the looked over at me and said "Man, don't do that!". I told him I couldn't just watch him die, and he told me "Look around. Do you think I want to live the rest of my life in this?"

I couldn't get the second lock free, so I decided to give him his wish. Eventually, the thing broke and he fell and walked away from it rubbing his neck and disappointed.

The other dream I had was that I was out with some friends, and we decided to go to a pool. The pool was empty, and for whatever I decided I was going to mop the deck around the pool. I mopped and mopped. I was noticing that as soon as I mopped, the water would evaporate from the deck because the sun was beating down straight on it. As I was mopping, people started to show up, and I didn't want to stop until I was done, so I kept mopping, although I realized it was going to take a while. Eventually, the friends I was with started swimming, but I kept mopping. Toni wound up showing up with a couple of celeb women that I knew. One was Anna Nichole Smith, the other was Pam Anderson. I never saw Pam, but when Anna got there, we hugged each other and said hi and long time no see and all that crap. I returned to mopping.

Eventually, I realized that I didn't need to be mopping, and that it wasn't probably doing any good anyway. But I didn't want to quit until I was finished, because I didn't want any of the people that were there to see me quitting before I was finished. So I mopped for a while longer (it seemed like an eternity), then eventually I quit once I finally accepted that by mopping I was accomplishing nothing relevant, no one cared whether I quit or not, and that by doing so I was missing all the fun.
