Irresponsible prank

I was in a van and there were three other guys in it. Young guys - about 19 or 20. And there were three friends of thiers on roller skates behind the van. Two girls and a guy, I believe.

As we pulled away from wherever we were, the three people behind us thought it would be fun to hold on to the bumper, and so they did, and we kept going faster. Well, I wasn't driving the van, and the guy who was decided he was going to keep accelerating until the three on the back fell off.

However, I could sense that the three hanging on to the bumper weren't expecting it, so they kept holding on, and I could tell there were going to be injuries. I started telling the driver to slow down, and he kept refusing. I told him the people behind us were going to get hurt, and he kept saying "So?", and kept accellerating. This whole scene happened in just moments. Eventually, the three did fall off the back, and I never saw them again.

When we finally stopped, I got out of the van and confronted the three, but I noticed that the driver had a baseball bat and that he was coming at me, so I decided to run. However, something (I don't know what) moved me to turn around and fight back. I wound up snatching the bat from the guy, then they started running, but not quite fast enough. I caught at least a couple of them with that bat.
