mmm...I dunno, not really, I guess. But I've met some really awesome people who love Christ. No one lives anywhere near me on MC, anyhow. But I just use to Net to fellowship with other Christians, for the most part. I have some Christian friends here, but none of them are really close, save my best friend Lizzie. I've only met two people from online before, and neither one worked out as friends. One was REALLY shy, and we weren't really going down the same path anyway. And the other one was...a jerk. Lizzie and I went to see him this past March. It was a good trip, because she and I became closer friends and I learned a LOT about trusting God and not compromising. but...I'm a little bit gun shy when it comes to meeting someone from online now. VERY, VERY CAUTIOUS, and prayerful. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Right now I'm just trying to concentrate on God, and let Him bring whatever is supposed to be in my life into my life. But the most important thing for ALL of us will always be...knowing Him. All my friends are either married or getting married this summer, but for some reason, I feel lucky that I'm not in their shoes. Maybe it's because I'm not in love like they are. Or maybe it's because God has a different path for my life.
What about you? Looks like you've met some people from online in person! Any romance for you?
I have met several people from online. The last guy I met I married and I promise I WILL NEVER make the same mistake AGAIN! I was divorced for four years, grounded in the Word, and knew in my heart that I wasn't going to settle for less. I've met several men and knew from the start they weren't the ones, so we ended the date and I went on with my life.
In my heart, I KNEW I was messing up. God told me over and over. I would just push the thought to the back of my mind. I met this guy and fell in love!!! It was really lust, now that I know the difference. I married him and a year later divorced. He had been cheating on me and there were SEVERAL other reasons to divorce. I am SO GLAD to be out of that mess and don't intend to meet anyone else romantically offline. As friends, great, but more....I don't think so!
I have met some wonderful people. A few people from MC I have met in person. One guy I met right before I met my ex and just didn't do him right at all. I don't know if we were that compatible because I was so caught up with this other guy. I feel horrible and I think he warned me of the outcome, had I only listened. Well, it doesn't matter anymore, what has been done, is done and I have to forgive and go on with my life. I know God has a special man out there for me. Right now my heart isn't ready to love again but I know I can when the time (and person!), are right!!!! =)

I've met plenty of ladies online from eHarmony and MeetChristians.com, but I'm still a single guy.
What can I say?
Love, Steve

Thank you for your story. I'm praying that God brings you just what you need into your life. And that you're heart will always be focused on Him, even in your mistakes, which are only a part of being human.
There is something I just want to share with you for some reason, and I'm not really sure why.
Here it is.
*Work like you don't need the money;
dance like no one is watching;
sing like no one is listening;
love like you've never been hurt;
and live life every day as if it were your last.*
The phrase *love like you've never been hurt* is what strikes me the most. It's something that only God would know, and it's a gift only He can give.
Have a wonderful day, and know that God is watching down on you, and He loves you no matter what comes your way.
Thanks for what? Oh...that was Precious saying she'd love to meet you. Did you get mixed up there? Yeah, it was her, I think.
It's okay. Well, sure, it might be interesting to meet you some day, if God wills. I know one thing is certain...I'd REALLY like to go see Colorado some day and go camping!!!!!! the only part of CO I can remember was going through a desert full of tumbleweeds, I think...on a trip around western US states when I was 9. I'd really like to see the MOUNTAINS...you know, trees and wilflife and all that jazz. That would be awesome.
What is this festival thing? lol sounds...interesting, I think. Who else is going to be there? Anyone is this forum going?
Oh, and by the way, maybe you're single because God planned it that way. That's not to say that tomorrow you or I or any one of us will be, but today is what we have been given. And today is meant to be cherished. I never thought I would ever come to say this when I was younger, but now I'm starting to learn how singleness IS a gift...a window of opportunity...to know him, recieve from Him, and share Him in a different kind of way. To soak up life...to learn who you are, and why you're here. Until we find that our sole purpose, I don't think we will ever be satisfied.
OK.... ":P" to Steve's comment. lol whatever You're a softie at heart, too, and you know it.
Um, Precious, thank you. You rock, too,and look forward to getting to know you some day...whether here, or after this life is over! Totally every single tiny bit of everything we've got's from God!!! Let's give HIM all the credit for who He's been in our lives! The Ultimate Lover of our souls.

Keema, you need to check out the "ColoradoGuy Festival in Arkansas" thread.
Haven't you seen the movie Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? It came out not too long ago in theatres. lol Really stupid movie. It's awesome. BUT the books are better. And so is the computer game. Oh yeah.
There is something of great importance that you should know now...
"the second greatest computer ever built took seven and a half million years to calculate the meaning of life, and in the end anoounced that the answer was in fact 42. This, as well as the creation of the universe, made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The second greatest computer then explained that the problem was that nobody really understood what the question was in the first place. So another, even bigger computer had to be built to find out what the actual question was."
so now you know. I think NOW is when I'm supposed to kill you for revealing one of my most treasured secrets.
Look it up on the net. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I'll try to get you the link of the dolphins singing, "So long and thanks for all the fish".
