I know this sounds nuts, but wouldn't it be fun to have a ColoradoGuy Festival in Arkansas during the fall when the weather cools off a bit?

Keema and Precious already live there in the north and northwest parts of the state. Kansas Kelly's parents are in Siloam Springs. Maybe Padraic could visit from Oklahoma, and who knows, maybe I could get down there as well.

Wouldn't that be fun?

Love, Steve

    I'm all for that!

Steve-O...I'll put you up...and anyone else that tags along from Colorado.

I still feel the need to haul my cookies to Colorado sometime this year too. Not to mention...haul my biscuits to Britain. LOL.

I think it's a grand idea to have a get together in Arkansas!

Hi Kelly! So are you saying that I could stay as a guest with your parents?

Maybe we could make this happen! E-mail me when you get the chance!

    Yes, Steve...it is nuts. ;)

    June 12 2005, 3:12 PM

Sometimes nuts can be good, though. They go really well in granola. MMm. And trail mix. Mmmmhmmm!

Might be kinda cool. Nice idea, Steve.

Well, right now it's Kansas Kelly and myself.

Who else is interested in a Labor Day gathering. Precious? Keema? Would you attend if we met up in Siloam Springs?

    Love, Steve

Yessiree, I will be there. ;)

    June 16 2005, 10:03 PM

AS long as I still live here in Arkansass (most likely will, but I've still got some dreams on the back burner that involved moving...maybe to Texas). But the way things are going so far, I'll probably still be here working.

    Hey

    June 17 2005, 12:34 PM

Featherfest?? Que? What is this? I'm not familiar with it.
I had a booth in the Dogwood Festival in Siloam Springs this year though.

When is Third Day coming?? I saw them live in KC last fall!!

Hooray!!! ColoradoGuy Festival in ARKANSAS! That's AWESOME!!!!

We gotta get to plannin'! If enough people agree to go, I'll rent a van and we can have ColoradoGuy Festival - Ozark Tours!

    Yay!

If I did some pictorials of Arkansas, somehow I would insert something my logo that would read like this: "COLORADOGUY.COM ... in good ol' Arkansas" Wouldn't that be neat on this logo?

    Kelly,

    June 17 2005, 6:05 PM

Featherfest...it's in Springdale...I think it has something to do with Tyson or something, but anyways...it's a carnival type thing. I've never been! But I have been to the dogwood festival, which is an arts n crafts fair. Went year before last, and bought some really neat wooden wind chimes from this lady from like Africa or something. What did you have in your booth, Kelly? I didn't know you were a crafty kinda person! Awesome!

Um, third day...they're going to be at the NW AR mall, one of the places I work, on the 15th of July. The tickets are somewhere between 28 and 49 dollars. I just can't believe they can fit 2,500 people under this tent they built out in the parking lot!!!!! It looks like it won't hold more than a few hundred at BEST! Can't wait to see how many it will ACTUALLY hold. You should come so you can tell me all about it. It's a little too expensive for me, so I might not be there, depending on what kinda discount they give mall employees. Lemme know if you get to go!

There is also a FREE concert coming to Fayetteville July 14th, I think...Overflow will be playing at Trinity Temple on Rolling Hills Drive at 7pm. Also, Joy Williams is coming to JBU next month, but I don't know the exact date yet.

The tour van thing sounds cool. lol

Hmmmmmmm! The more I think about organizing this festival, it looks like I will need to commit to this thing no matter what, before I can really encourage others to attend like Padraic, MODave or some of those Texans.

Alright, let me work on this!

    Love, Steve

    Have you prayed about it?

    June 17 2005, 6:47 PM

Not that you have to consciously pray about every little detail in life or anything, but I thought I'd throw that in there just in case you think it might be a good idea. I think it is...you never know what God might show you!

    Rock on.

P.S. Steve, I think your hair looks awesome when it's tied back. I'm not sure that belongs in this thread or not, but... here, I wrote it anyway! :D

    Thanks for the compliment, Keema.

Hey, if we did a CG Festival in Arkansas, I'd let you comb out my hair. :p)

Honestly, I haven't prayed about it. That is a very good challenge! Alright, let me take this to the Lord over the weekend and I'll report back on Monday. (This doesn't mean that I won't be on the forums ... just that I won't yap about it until I've prayed thoroughly!)

    Love, Steve

    Good idea;)

    June 17 2005, 7:16 PM

Yeah, there are things I need to be praying about, too, instead of striving like I always want to do. My mom and dad and two brothers might be moving down here in the fall...and THAT is a BIG deal. Or it seems so, anyway. It's funny, though. How we spend so much time planning things, and worrying when they aren't working out, when God's got the answers already in place...right under our noses- and if we had prayed, we might have seen them even sooner...or maybe things would be just a little clearer.

"For I know the plans I have for you, Says the Lord. Plans to prosper you, and not to harm you. To give you a future and a hope."
    Jeremiah 29:11

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." ~Phillipians 4:6

    About the hair...

    June 17 2005, 7:26 PM

Hmmm...I haven't ever messed with NATURALLY CURLY hair...you might be in for a surprise! I can give a nice scalp massage, though. Actually, that reminds me of this thing I saw in a magazine last night...it was a scalp massager thingie, and it looked painful, not to mention ugly.

    See...
