Fourth of July Fun
Experience a piece of American history and celebrate Independence Day July 1-4 at the 62nd annual Rodeo of the Ozarks in Springdale.

More than 400 contestants and professional athletes will compete in six Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) sanctioned events: tie-down roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and the popular bull riding.

The Mutton Bustin' and Boot Scramble events let young cowboys and cowgirls compete at the Rodeo of the Ozarks each night. Preliminary events surrounding the rodeo are a significant tradition as well and include an old-fashioned barbecue, street dance, pancake breakfast and two parades.

Admission to the rodeo ranges from $9 to $30. Tickets can be ordered online or by calling (877) 927-6336. The rodeo is held at Parsons Stadium on Ark. 265 in Springdale.

Cool!

July 2 2006, 7:40 PM

I just realized that one of the realities of being a working stiff is that I can't attend the I Love America show and have to find something else to do. The traffic jam doesn't clear until 11:30PM and I would still have to drive 2 hours back from Springfield and get up at 6:30.

Drove by Beaver Dam today and it looked like a cool campsite/swimming hole there. And I know that Bentonville has fireworks at Memorial Park.

Anyone know of any other fireworks in NW Arkansas?

Brad
