here in Arkansas, thank God!
I bought a postcard to mail to my parents today called "Hillbilly Livin' Home Improvement". The caption on the back says that a burst of civic pride has caused the outdoor library to be relocated. What's really happening is that all of the kinfolk are moving the outhouse and trying to paint it red. They aren't too good at it and have painted the dog too. I think my parents will like getting a card like that from Arkansas
I've been suffering from jet lag. I haven't had a set schedule of getting up in the mornings since high school! After years of being called a night owl, I get tired about 9:30PM now.
I really like Bentonville! It's really a neat town and everyone here could not be nicer. Same for at work. It really doesn't get any better than this (at least not in this world).
The town has a split personality, though. Officially, the population is around 28,000 now, but it swells to many times that on weekdays. I work in the David Glass building which is about 3 minutes away from my apartment on a Sunday. It takes 15 minutes on Monday to get there and the traffic is so bad once I waited through six cycles of the stop light. Didn't go that way again! Everyone leaves on the weekends, and the population shrinks down to about 2,500. Half the restaurants close on the weekend. I grew up in a small town, so that's fine with me.
How was your Springfield Cardinals game? And why did you wait until I left town to go?
