-By appearing and playing a womens game at the mens tournament, she is promoting womens tennis.
- By simply appearing and being there, because of her popularity and fame, she is promoting tennis in general.
- By Being at the Gerry Weber open, she is promothing the event, the gerry weber foundation and the tournament because of her popularity and fame, and the fact that some people would read anything having to do with Gaby or go anywhere to see her, where in normal cases they probably wouldn't have gone to the Gerry weber stadium in the first place. That is promotion. the simple act of anouncing that Gaby will be at the Gerry weber open, that is promotion.
Same thing when she was the Boodle, She promoted the event by simply being the Ambassadress of the tournament.
The simple mention of Gabriela Sabatini in some countries and events around the world, makes its own hype. Having her appear at certain events, raises the attention and awareness of people about this particular event.. Voila... excellent promotion.
I could go on and on about this, you know Advertising is my thing. So trust me, she is promoting it.
