We are Greeks because we are proud of it, and we make this pride visible and clearly obvious to all peoples aroud for we have Greek names, toponyms, ways, heroes, gods, dialect.... We are also proud of that campaign that Macedonians did to spread Greek Language and Civilization to the World.
Any person at any time of his life, even if he is proud Greek could deny his greeknees: Efialtis, by leading Persians behind the Greeks in Thermopylae, denied his Greekness. In the rest of his life he could do something to get back his Greekness. In fact we Greeks could accept any person as Greek if he wants it. We would ask him to agree with us in some crucial views and then it is simple. Especially persons who died for Greece's independance are automatically Greek (if they want it).
Ethnicity is a matter of will and acceptance: I belong to an ethnic group if I want it and they accept me, just like Loring Danforth (LD) wrote. Ethnicity is not race or blood or dna.
LD wrote about a woman who gave birth to a Greek and a SlavoSkopian boys; this prooves that ethnicity is not blood.
SlavoSkopians are Macedonian nothing. Instead of making efforts to get similar to Macedonians, they change radically the notion and the wideness of the term Macedonian in order to fit to their identiy. And if there were no Macedonian-like people around there would be not problem (but humiliation for them). But Macedonians are here in Greece and we try hard to defend anything Macedonian around while SlavoSkopians try to kill anything Macedonian for it is very Greek.
There are three notions widely confused (sometimes intentionally) by SlavoSkopians and others: nationality, ethnicity, race. nationality is citizenship, that is member of a state. race is blood (whoever believe that race is ethnicity is racist: whoever belives that a man born SlavoSkopian cannot be or become Greek is racist). I wrote above about ethnicity.
Any visible difference between two groups of the same ethnicity could get accented by their politicians and lead them in ethnic separation: Bosnians - Serbians - Croatians.
