the c6 blues hit reverse by mistake now i have none

while turning into driveway i hit the throttle hard and it stuck so trying to throw it into nuetral it hit reverse i tried to use reverse after only to get a banging noise which at first i though was rear end it was moving but jerking shortly after i drove for a couple hours on trip and found no more reverse and park now the only way reverse engages is after you shut off motor,reverse feels like it has a want to but just does have the catch it needs to is there any kind of seals or o ring that might have blew out being under so much pressure from the throttle sticking open or should i hope for the worse,every other aspect of the tranny is aok please if anyone has sugjestions im open thanks
