Swamp Creature

Hi. I live in Northern Louisiana near a small river called black bayou. This is called a bayou because the water appears stagnant, with alge growing on top of it making it look very green and sooty.

Anyway, My buddy Pete and I were looking for some nice size turtles for some good gumbo. We were walking along the edge of the river stepping over dead logs laying here and there heading down to our boat with Gretchen our blue tick coming along behind us.

Pete mentioned needing some file’ when we were attacked by a man like creature that burst up from the bayou as if the bayou spat it out at us.

The Creature was a blur; it moved so fast we didn’t get a good look at it. It was greenish and might have been hairy, but the green slime that covered it made it impossible to see any. The Face, what I saw of it, was kind of lizard like: slightly tapered out at the jowls coming to a dull point where the nose, not much more than 2 holes in the skin, and mouth seemed to appear as a thin lipless slit in the skin..

It launched it’s self at us with it’s arms out, close-lining both of us, knocking us to the ground. Gretchin was barking and growling, then ran off to the south after the thing as it kept going.

It’s been 7 days and Gretchen hasn’t been back..

We’ve heard stories of a swamp creature in the movies and legends of swamp creatures in stories our mommas used to tell, but till this day, I never really believed them.

I’m gonna get my gun and I’m going to try to catch this thing, dead or alive.
