That is sad. They made nice rifles but they were not cheap enough..

Response to Hard to believe it but "Knight" muzzle loaders have closed the doors.

When you consider how all the makers rifles were single shots it made it hard to justify the extra expense of one of their really.

My CVA Magbolt I paid $110 for a few years ago will kill anything out to 150 yards just as well as the Knight would at 4 times the cost. Our state has also begun to allow people to use 45/70s for black powder season and now you can even bow hunt with a crossbow even if you don't have a physical disability that prevents you from drawing back a compound or recurve/longbow.

A dead animal is a dead animal, they don't know if they are getting shot with a $500 BP rifle or a $100 rifle. Much like shotguns some of which are WAY over the top in costs. My Mossberg 500A that cost a couple hundred will kill anything a $1000 Benelli will and I don't mind beating it up when in the field. Plus it is very versatile in that I have a ported rifled barrel with scope for slugs, vented rib barrel with interchangeable chokes for wing/clay shooting and can even add a BP barrel if I wanted. It doesn't get much more versatile than that for the money I can have essentially 3 guns for 1/2 the cost of the higher end shotguns.

The real shame is that they did a lot from what I could see to promote hunting and shooting of BP rifles and were very innovative at that.
