Joe,
We lost our dear beautiful Pom, Shadow, last year almost a year ago. She was our first dog, and my wife's father gave her to us. She was our sweet dear friend, and we miss her so. It still is hard to realize that she is gone. We have three other dogs but it was still a heartbreak. Nothing will ever replace her and there is no way that another will touch our hearts like she did.
I can sympathize with you and understand your hurting heart and ache in your stomach. It took me many days to quit crying, and I'm a grown, forty something man. We grieved for a while, then my wife finally said she was ready to get another puppy and we have poured our love out on the new dog, whom we named Shadow's Grace. We call her Gracie. Gracie has helped us to smile again, to love again and to pet and play with a new found rambunctious puppy. My wife has even taken to training her and this has helped them to bond.
You had a beautiful dog. I'm sorry it is gone.
Shoot Safe,
Bryan |
