Check the bore on any Moisin you buy, if possible. I got one a couple years ago, picked it out of a group, outside was nice. Checked bore and not pristine, but looked OK. I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned that barrel, and still I could not reliably hit paper at 25 yards. These guns orig fired corrosive ammo so lots of them have bores like 5 miles of bad road. I finally sold mine to a guy for a wall hanger.
