Hey guys, wound up buying a Rem 700 about 5 months ago after a long time of wanting one. Got it in .308 cause its my favorite round, but I have a quick couple of questions. They make a box magazine conversion for it, which I'm very interested in, but I don't know much about them. Any of you guys have any experience with them? How easy are they to install, and would I be able to do it myself? I know the rifles comes in short and long actions, so I'm assuming the conversions will depend on that. Also, if anyone has one willing to part with maybe we could work something out.
I also have a scope question. The rifle came with a Rem marked 3-9x32 (can't remember the objective size), and I swapped it out for a Bushnell 6-24x44 or 50 mm scope I had on one of my PCPs. I haven't sighted in the rifle with this scope on it yet because I'm not sure if it will hold up to the .308 recoil. Its not the most expensive scope in the world, but I really like it, and I don't want to bust it. Any advice?
Thanks in advance guys! Hope you all enjoyed eating some delicious BBQ today.
