Well I am pretty sure Im getting out of the Air force in Dec,I was going to try to cross train into something more exciting but with all the paper work and red tape they delayed it so I pretty much have to re enlist and hope I get it,and then hope I make it through whatever job school I get picked for.If I dont get it,get hurt, or just find out I suck at the new job and dont pass the schooling they will send my but back into my current AFAC,[medical]in which case three more years doing it will make me lose it.
Plus I am sick of all the bs and seeing backstabbing suck ups making rank while the honest hard workers get screwed, and all the higher ups looking to hand out paper work for poinless crap, the whole band of brothers and stuff is a load of crap,at least when you are in the rear echelon.
So I am thinking of going Air guard[guaranteed job switch]for Tac P,talked to some of the people and its a lot less bs and a more band of brothers setting, also I can deploy so I can do my part and feel I did something, then be a civilian and not have to deal with the garrison life.
I plan on going to a hands on trade school,as I wasn't good at the college thing[all that pointless book work ug]
One of the Jobs I was thinking hard about would be commercial diver for the oil rigs etc
It looks like it can pay very well[or crappy]and you can do it a lot of places so I can travel if I get experience.
Does anybody have any experience in this career? or have any career advice?I would like a job I can travel with or do anywhere so I can travel, something I didn't get to do in the military.
